Six months from the date of the inspection. You need to renew your registration within that time or the report expires and you need a new inspection.
How long a pink slip lastsYou can renew your registration up to three months before it expires with a renewal notice, so booking the inspection in the month or two beforehand gives you room without risking the six months.
Three months. Under that you can renew as usual. Once the registration has been expired for more than three months, the car has to be registered again, which needs a blue slip.
